What is the SCORM standard?
SCORM is an interoperable standard in the learning ecosystem, which comes in the form of a .zip file. It allows authenticating and traces the activity of a learner.
SCORM is accepted by almost all of the most popular LMS solutions on the market, such as :
- Moodle
- Docebo
- Cornerstone
- 360Learning
- and many more
SCORM allows you to manage direct access to Edflex from a SCORM 1.2 compatible LMS.
If you have any doubts about the compatibility of your LMS with SCORM 1.2, do not hesitate to contact the publisher of your platform to find out more.
SCORM integrations offered by Edflex
From Edflex it is possible to export a SCORM file that covers 4 scopes:
1️⃣ Export the entire Edflex solution
Learners are redirected to the Edflex homepage and can access all the features (access to the catalog, programs...) that offer the opportunity to consume content.
Data activity
Training hours are uploaded to the LMS in an incremental manner. This means that this value is updated with each new learner activity on Edflex.
When launched, the activity of this SCORM will be considered as in progress.
How can I get the SCORM file?
Upon request, this file is sent to you directly by the Edflex team.
2️⃣ Export a Resource in SCORM format
Learner experience
The learner only has access to the resource on which the SCORM file has been exported. He/she will not be able to browse the catalog, programs, or programs.
👉 This is the perfect format if you want to integrate an Edflex resource into a custom learning path in your LMS.
Data activity
The time spent is brought up within the LMS in an incremental way.
When the resource is launched, the activity in the SCORM file is considered to be in progress. Completion is determined when the user has finished the resource in question.
The time corresponding to the resource will then be transferred directly to your LMS.
How can I get the SCORM file?
Upon request, Edflex can grant you the permission to download the SCORM file directly from the resource page.
3️⃣ Export a Program in SCORM format
Learner experience
The learner only has access to the program on which the SCORM file has been exported. They will not be able to browse the catalog.
Data activity
When the Program is launched on your LMS, the activity in the SCORM file will be considered as in progress.
The time spent is tracked in the LMS incrementally.
The completion of the Program is reported when the learner has finished all the resources in the Program and completed all the quizzes in the Program.
How can I get the SCORM file?
On request, your account manager can grant you the authorization to download the SCORM file directly from the Program thumbnails or through the Program management panel.

4️⃣ Export a Category in SCORM format
Learner experience
Learners only have access to one category of your catalog and all the resources in it.
Data activity
Training hours are uploaded to the LMS incrementally.
As soon as a learner launches a resource, the activity in the SCORM file will be considered in progress.
Its completion is triggered by reaching a number of hours defined upstream with Edflex.
How can I get the SCORM file?
On request, Edflex can grant you the authorizations to download the SCORM file autonomously from the page of the category you wish to export to the catalog.
