The Talentsoft widget lets you:
- Display Edflex selections on Talentsoft
- Access a resource page on Edflex by clicking on a resource
Prerequisites
You need to subscribe Talentsoft widget option to use one on your Talentsoft portal.
You also need to check that your Talentsoft portal is hosted on a recent Talentsoft facility.
Once you have completed these 2 steps, you will need :
- Your Edflex API credentials (secret)
- Your organization's domain Edflex
1 - In order to have your Edflex API credentials, you will need to contact your Edflex customer success manager. He will provide you a secret which may looks like something like that:

Keep those in a safe place and share them as little as possible. Also, if you want to do more integrations with Edflex, ask for new credentials every single time there's a new application you want to integrate with. Once pasted in the Talentsoft connector settings, you will not be able to see the secret any longer (for safety reasons).
2 - Your organization's domain is the internet address of your Edflex portal: https://mycompany-portal.edflex.com
Setup & Activation
Once you have all the prerequisites, you can contact your Talentsoft CSM and send it to him.
He will create the widget for you in your Talentsoft portal.
Now you should go to your Talentsoft account and familiarize yourself with your Edflex widget.
Troubleshooting
If your Edflex portal doesn't contain any selection, no content will be displayed in the widget. The text "Loading" will be displayed as a fallback.
⚠️ Do not add the Program format resource to the active selection, as this will cause the widget to no longer function properly.
If the API is not responding, an error message "Server is not responding" will be displayed. It may be related to obsolete or deleted API credentials or a momentary technical problem.
If you are experiencing any issues with the setup of the widget, you can contact your Edflex customer success manager. If you don't know who to contact, ask the coworker who granted you Talentsoft Admin access. He surely knows. If the coworker left the company, contact Edflex through the Chat.
To help you faster, please provide your Edflex customer success manager with the following:
- The first four and last four characters of your secret key.
For example, if your key is

You have to communicate
cf14....c3f3
- A small recap on what you try to achieve and the steps you have done.
Troubleshooting
Question: I have activated the Edflex application autonomously from my ‘Administration’ area. What value should I enter in ‘securitymode’?
Solution: Only the Talentsoft team can add this value. Open a ticket with Talentsoft to request the addition of this value.
