How do I register for a course?
Once on the edX platform, you will be able to create an account, or log in if you already have one. To create an account, simply click on "**Register**".
Click on "**Enroll**" to register for the desired course.
You will then have the choice between applying for free access to the course and its resources, but without obtaining certification upon completion; and choosing a paid and certified option, where you will have unlimited access to the course as well as a quiz to obtain proof of success upon completion. If the course is part of a larger course, edX will also offer you paid access to the other courses on the specialization, with certification(s) and unlimited access.
Now all you have to do is start your training.
In what language can I take the course?
On edX, the language of the course and the video transcripts is specified in the box on the right-hand side of the course presentation page. The platform offers courses in several languages, including French. However, they are rarely multilingual.
Certification
On edX, certifications are not free. Once the certification option is selected, you will have to complete the courses and obtain at least the minimum grade required to validate the course during the graded exercises.
The minimum score required to validate a certification varies from course to course, and some courses only allow a limited number of attempts at quizzes and exams.
