Introduction
Edflex uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance your learning experience, within a framework that complies with the AI and data protection regulations in force in each of the countries where our clients operate.
The features described below are optional modules: their availability depends on the configuration chosen by your organization.
This article answers the most frequently asked questions about how AI is used within our platform.
Which features use AI?
AI enhances your Edflex experience through six main features, which can be enabled independently of one another:
Personalized Recommendations
AI analyzes your interests and learning journey to suggest the most relevant training content for you.
Smart Search
Search within our catalog leverages AI to deliver more accurate and context-aware results tailored to your query.
Skills Coaching (AI Coach)
A conversational assistant supports you in developing your professional skills and answers your questions throughout your learning journey.
Professional Situation Simulations (AI Roleplay)
Practice real-life scenarios (interviews, negotiations, presentations) with a virtual interlocutor, in text or voice mode, with a summary of your strengths and areas for progress at the end of each session.
AI Virtual Classes (AIVC)
An individual training session of about 30 minutes led by an AI trainer. The session adapts to what you need at that moment: it meets you at your level, offers the concepts and practice exercises that are most useful to you, and recommends what to work on next. It ends with a personalized summary of your strengths and areas for progress. This feature is being rolled out progressively across portals.
Administration Tools
On the back-office side, AI helps your portal administrators build learning paths and simulation scenarios, and translate them automatically. These tools are not exposed to learners.
These features support learning and make no automated decision producing legal or similarly significant effects for you.
Are your data protected?
Yes. Protecting your data is our absolute priority. Here is how we ensure security:
âś“ Data hosting and processing: our infrastructure and the AI models we use are hosted in data centers located in the European Union (AWS Bedrock / Anthropic Claude, ElevenLabs). Your data is not transferred to any other jurisdiction.
âś“ Strict data minimization: only a technical session identifier and the learning content of your exchanges are transmitted to the AI models. Your first name, last name, email address, HR data and biometric data are never transmitted to them, and that technical identifier cannot be used to re-identify you.
âś“ Full encryption: your data is encrypted using the AES-256 standard.
âś“ Non-retention policy: our AI providers are contractually required not to retain any data beyond processing, and no data is used to train or improve their models.
âś“ ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification: our certification covers all product features of the Edflex platform, including AI components.
âś“ Technical safeguards: prompt injection detection, content filtering and logging are active on real-time exchanges, and are subject to a specialized annual audit (AI penetration testing, OWASP LLM Top 10 framework).
âś“ Regulatory compliance: our AI systems are subject to a regulatory classification carried out by Ernst & Young.
âś“ Continuous legislative monitoring: we monitor developments in applicable regulations with the support of Ernst & Young, and every new AI feature undergoes a classification review.
What about my conversations with AI?
Your conversation history
When conversational features (AI Coach, AI Roleplay, AIVC) are enabled, the history of your exchanges may be retained for educational purposes, so that you can:
- retrieve previous exchanges
- track your progress over time
- maintain a record of your professional development
This history is stored within the Edflex infrastructure, and never with our AI model providers.
Guaranteed confidentiality
- your conversations remain strictly personal and confidential
- your organization’s administrators never have access to them
- you can delete your conversations at any time
- this data is never shared with third parties nor used to train AI models
Deactivation and logging
History retention can be disabled by your organization. Technical security logs, which contain no conversational content, are retained for 12 months.
Can I use Edflex without AI?
Yes, absolutely. AI usage is optional:
- your organization can request that all or part of the AI features be disabled, at launch or at any time during the contract
- disabling AI does not affect the platform’s core functionalities

Frequently Asked Questions
Does AI have access to my personal data?
No directly identifying data is transmitted to the AI models. Only a technical session identifier, which cannot be used to re-identify you, and the learning content of the exchange are transmitted to them.
Where is my data hosted and processed?
In the European Union, in data centers operated by AWS. The AI models we use are hosted within the same perimeter, and your data is not transferred to any other jurisdiction.
Does AI use my data for training?
No. Our contracts with AI providers guarantee a strict non-retention and non-training policy. Edflex does not train any AI model.
How do I know when I am interacting with an AI?
AI features are explicitly identified in the interface, and you are informed before each interaction with an AI system, in line with applicable transparency obligations.
Who oversees AI security at Edflex?
Our AI systems are covered by our ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, in the same way as the rest of the platform, and are audited annually by AI security experts, with specialized penetration testing covering the OWASP LLM Top 10 framework. Any vulnerability identified is addressed through a documented remediation plan.
Can I trust AI responses?
AI is a pedagogical assistance tool. Like any AI system, it may produce inaccurate, incomplete or biased results: we encourage you to apply critical thinking and not to treat its answers as absolute truths or professional advice.
